All product image guides Product image quality control

Decide what the image needs before approving it.

An attractive image can still show the wrong product. Review the source, candidate and intended placement together, then record the problem that actually blocks publication. A generated scene and a compressed real photo need different repairs.

What this shows

Keep the reference beside the candidate.

This bottle pair supplies a real generation example for a comparison workflow. The demonstration has no stocked SKU specification or calibrated color target, so it cannot receive a commercial product-accuracy signoff on this page.

Live Fayvoro resultAn existing live photo-to-scene demonstration with an unbranded bottle. It is not a customer asset, a calibrated color test, or proof of exact product preservation.

This is one demonstration result; your result may differ. AI can change product shape, color, packaging, labels, and text. Check every important detail against the real item.

02 / A PRACTICAL WORKFLOWSTART WITH YOUR PHOTO
01

Make the review reproducible

Collect the untouched reference, the candidate export, the SKU or product specification, and the placement where the image will appear. Identify the person who can confirm product facts. Keep a revision name with each candidate so feedback refers to a particular file rather than “the latest image.”

Review at the intended display size first, then inspect product details closely. A thumbnail may hide altered text; a zoomed image may exaggerate a defect that is not visible in the actual slot. Record the location and consequence of an issue, such as “front label changes the volume,” rather than a general impression of quality.

Scope a specific retouch — Separate cosmetic cleanup from a changed product fact before handing off edits.

02

Treat a changed product fact as a blocker

Compare quantity, variant, silhouette, closure, packaging text, included accessories and visible condition with the real item. A convincing invented detail still fails. Do not approve a generated colorway merely because it matches a mood board; use the photograph and specification of that actual variant.

When a scene changes a fact, retain the accurate original or make a new capture. A precise edit can be appropriate only when you can verify the repaired detail against genuine evidence. Another generation is a new candidate that requires a complete comparison, not confirmation that the first problem has been solved.

  • Keep factual views available even when a scene is accepted.
  • If the source itself hides an important detail, request a real detail photo rather than asking the generator to infer it.

Choose mockup, concept or real capture — Match the image method to design approval or evidence of an item for sale.

03

Route technical and creative issues differently

For a correct product with an export issue, inspect focus, clipping, crop, edge artifacts and file delivery. Return to the master for a clearer export or careful edit. If the master is out of focus or the product is obscured, reshoot; compressing or enlarging cannot recover truthful missing detail.

A scene can instead be technically usable but off brief: the surface is too busy, the light feels wrong, or the crop leaves no room for copy. Request one specific scene revision while keeping the product review independent. Do not trade a factual blocker for better atmosphere.

Select a real detail view for the buyer question — Capture the closure, surface or construction fact that a shopper needs to inspect.

04

Close the review with evidence

Write the chosen action, owner and exact file revision. After a repair, recheck the affected detail and the final export. Preview the actual product page or ad placement before the owner approves it; a local review sheet cannot certify a marketplace’s acceptance.

Color comparisons also depend on the viewing workflow. Embedded document profiles and calibrated displays help avoid correcting a cast that exists only on one screen. Fayvoro does not perform automated SKU comparison or calibrated color matching. The card below records your own decisions, and an unknown answer stays unresolved.

Embroidered Patch Product Photography — Show embroidered patch texture, border construction and the actual backing option. Keep application examples separate from attachment or durability evidence.

Manual review decision

a next action.

Select what you personally observed. Unknown is the starting state. This card does not inspect an image or certify a product.

Hold: product facts are unverified.Candidate: revision not recorded

Compare the exact SKU, variant, quantity, text and accessories with genuine photographs and specifications.

Temporary decisions only; nothing is saved. A destination may require further checks even after the owner approves the file.
Direction to try

A useful starting note.

Use this as a starting point, then adjust it for your own product. No prompt can guarantee exact product details.

Use my actual product photo to explore one secondary scene with a plain surface and soft light. Keep the item fully visible. I will compare shape, color, labels, quantity and accessories with the original, then record any blocker against the exact exported revision.
Before you publish

Check the details.

  • The exact source, candidate revision, SKU and destination are identified.
  • Product facts are verified or explicitly unresolved.
  • Technical repair and creative revision have separate owners and actions.
  • The final exported revision and actual placement receive a human review.
Common questions

A few things to know.

Does this card detect defects in a photo?

No. It uses the statuses you choose. It does not inspect pixels, read labels, compare a SKU, or save an approval record.

What if a generated label is almost correct?

Do not publish an inaccurate product fact. Use the accurate real photo, a verified precise repair, or a new capture. A near match is not a product signoff.

Can the bottle demo establish color accuracy?

No. It is an unbranded generation demonstration without a calibrated color target or stocked-SKU specifications.
