All product image guides Plant Product Photography

Make clear whether this is the plant the buyer will receive.

Plants change between photography and shipment, and a decorative pot can conceal the nursery container. A plant shop needs clear stock-photo roles, current size information and honest foliage images before exploring a room display.

What this shows

Give each photograph one clear job.

Use the three labeled views to plan your factual gallery. The outlines show composition roles only; they contain no observed dimensions, verified materials or performance measurements. Keep real photographs beside any secondary scene candidate.

02 / A PRACTICAL WORKFLOWSTART WITH YOUR PHOTO
01

Choose actual-item or representative-stock photography

Decide whether the offer is for one individually selected plant or for a group of comparable plants. For a unique specimen, photograph that plant and record when it was checked. For representative stock, say that the photograph is a representative example and explain the variation you actually observe. Do not make a lush prototype stand silently for smaller current stock.

Patch lists plant height and pot size as separate product filters. Keep those dimensions distinct in your own listing. Record the nursery pot diameter, actual height basis and whether a decorative planter is included. A leaf extending above a cachepot does not tell shoppers which pot size they are ordering, and a styled shelf cannot establish the plant’s current height.

02

Keep foliage, container and condition readable

Use a broad light and a calm backdrop that lets the leaf outline remain visible. Turn the actual plant for a second real view instead of hiding the less full side. Include a closer leaf or stem frame when it answers a buyer’s question. Photograph any relevant current damage plainly, with a wider view that locates it.

Take a separate nursery-pot image before placing it inside a decorative container. Add a real measured height photograph with the stated start and end points. Avoid holding leaves into a fuller arrangement that they do not naturally keep. Identify staging supports, baskets and cachepots as props unless they are part of the order. Keep the stock record current as the plant grows or changes.

03

Treat a room scene as display direction only

Choose one rights-cleared photograph of the actual or explicitly representative plant for a Fayvoro scene attempt. Ask for a quiet shelf or table with the entire visible plant unobstructed. This is not a horticultural identification tool, a growth prediction or evidence of the specimen that will be shipped.

Review the leaf count, shape, variegation, stem arrangement, pot and plant proportions. Reject invented fullness, flowers, colors or a healed damaged leaf. A generated room can also imply an excluded planter or a misleading scale. Keep the factual stock photograph and current written dimensions as the buying reference, even when the display concept is attractive.

Direction to try

A useful starting note.

Use this as a starting point, then adjust it for your own product. No prompt can guarantee exact product details.

Use my actual plant photograph for one secondary shelf-display concept. Keep the visible foliage and nursery container unobstructed under gentle daylight. Add no flowers, leaves, variegation or new pot. I will compare the plant with current stock; this scene is not a growth, identification or exact-size record.
Before you publish

Check the details.

  • The listing says actual specimen or representative stock.
  • Photographed plant condition was checked on a recorded date.
  • Nursery pot and decorative planter have separate statuses.
  • Height and pot diameter are stated with their measurement basis.
  • No invented leaves, flowers or healed damage appears.
Common questions

A few things to know.

Can a generated image show the plant that will be shipped?

No. Use a current real specimen photograph for a unique plant, or an honestly labeled representative image for comparable stock. Generation can change foliage.

Is pot diameter the same as plant height?

No. State both where relevant and explain how height is measured. A decorative planter can also be separate from the nursery pot.

Can a scene prove that a plant will thrive in that room?

No. Lighting in an image is not a care assessment or a growth test. Use suitable care information for the actual plant separately.
